
Alexandra Rose Raisman was born on the 25th of May, 1994. She retired as an American artist gymnast. She was the captain of both the 2012 "Fierce Five" and 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams. Both were winners in their respective teams competitions.At the 2012 Olympics in London she was awarded gold medals for the floor and team competitions in addition to the bronze medal on the balance beam, which made her the most decorated American gymnast in the Games. She took home a team gold medal at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Gabby Douglas and Raisman are the only Americans to have two consecutive gold medals in this competition. Raisman was also awarded silver medals for individual all-around and for floor exercise. She is the 3rd most accomplished American gymnast in Olympic history, behind Shannon Miller and Simone Biles with six Olympic medals.Raisman was also a member of the gold-winning American teams at the 2011 and 2015 World Championships, and the bronze medalist in the world championships on floor exercise in the year 2011. She has also been a two-time national champion on floor exercise (2012 2012, 2015) she was the 2012 champion of the national team on balance beam, and five times a medalist in the all-around at the national championships (silver in 2016, and bronze in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2015). In 2013, she was admitted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.
